Where: Darling Harbour
IF you’re lucky enough to have attended even just a few of the many festivals that took place over the summer, the chances are your wallet feels several hundred dollars lighter than it used to.
Thank the sweet lord of music, then, for supplying us from time to time with free music festivals.
The Darling Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival has established itself as Sydney’s premier jazz festival and usually attracts hoards of people from Sydney, interstate and around the globe.
In the past, the event has featured a star-studded line-up of Australian and international jazz and blues musicians, including James Morrison, Paulini, Frank Bennett, Blaine Whittaker, The Cat Empire, Monica Trapaga, Kate Dunbar and the Zenith New Orleans Jazz Band.
Although there’s no news on this year’s line-up at the time of going to print, it’s sure to be a weekend of sassy, suave and sophisticated jazz.
