Your Adventures on Fraser Island

Enjoy one of the world’s most exciting 4WD drives on 75 mile beach and drink in the sublime beauty. If you love photography, bring your camera along for great captures at the Indian Head site. Located at one end of the 75 mile beach, Indian Head presents beautiful vistas of beaches. Take a memorable walk along the Indian Head and don’t forget to take photographs.

Fraser Island is scattered with heavenly blue lakes and slow flowing creeks. Splash in the refreshing waters of Lake McKenzie or Lake Birrabeen. At Eli Creek, simply lie on your back and let the current float you.

Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island. Millions of years of ocean currents helped to form the sandy dunes of Fraser Island, covering the bedrock with sand from the seas. The island is famous for its many hued sandy stretches north of Eli Creek.

Exploring the Great Barrier Reef

You’ll then cruise to Musgrave Island to gear up and snorkel to meet sea creatures at the Great Barrier Reef. The crystal clear waters of Lady Musgrave Island and the fringing reef create lovely environs for turtles. Green Turtles and Loggerhead Turtles frequent salty depths near Lady Musgrave Island. In fact, the best time to see turtle hatching falls between January to March.

But, turtles won’t be the only wildlife you’ll encounter during the trip. Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef shelter famous dingoes, kangaroos and of course dolphins and rays.

The Great Barrier Reef is actually the world’s biggest reef system. This massive reef system is visible from outer space. In fact, the reef system bigger than Tasmania and Victoria combined. Over 1500 vibrant fish species live thrive on the reef. And, there is an abundance of birdlife too on the islands. Over hundreds of species of birds nest and breed on these reef islands.
