A devastating fire destroyed Sandy and Henry Nguyen’s Guildford business Little A’s Café on Christmas Day – and, if that tragedy wasn’t enough, it was compounded by the fact the café was named after their late daughter Annabelle, who died from brain cancer in 2018.
Claire Scanlan has established the Help rebuild Little A’s for Annabelle fundraiser and explains: “Little A’s had been the family’s way of starting over following the loss of their daughter little Annabelle, who passed away from an aggressive brain tumour (DIPG – diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma) two years ago aged just five years old. Sandy and Henry had sold their house and everything they possibly could to fund her experimental treatment in Mexico. It is beyond tragic to think of them having to start over again so soon.”
Insurance won’t cover everything and the community is coming together to help them re-build the café. You can make a donation at http://tinyurl.com/littleAcafe
