Australia’s Labour Day eve celebration just got better. World-class techno practitioners Nina Kraviz and Aurora Halal are set for their long-overdue Melbourne club shows.
As Russia’s most famous dance music export, Nina Kraviz is known for her remarkable record digging and taste-making skills, arguably the genre’s biggest DJ. Her Trip imprint was quickly chosen as Mixmag’s record label of the year, following on from the release of huge single ‘I Wanna Go Bang’. In 2018, she was the DJ that played the most festivals that year, including a set on the Great Wall of China.
Tailgating the incredible double bill is Aurora Halal, bringing shadowy and psychedelic sounds. The New Yorker is the creator of the influential Brooklyn Mutual Dreaming parties and the Sustain-Release event. Her forward-thinking sound has landed her at international events like Unsound, Atonal and Nachtdigital and regular bookings including Berghain.
As Nina’s first Australian club performance since 2013 and Aurora’s first Australian show in 3 years, this is not to be missed in preparation of Labour Day celebrations.Come prepared for a dance floor full of authority. The techno drawcards will be playing at Brown Alley on March 8.
