One of the most picturesque destinations you are likely to come across in all of the east coast, Noosa sits on the Sunshine Coast. A short drive north of Brisbane, Noosa is renowned for its natural beauty, great beaches and chilled out atmosphere.
Started as a fishing village
Having started out as a humble fishing village, Nossa has transformed in recent times into one of the country’s most stunning tourist spots, thanks largely to its amazing scenery and surf. The area has no high rise buildings, and its infrastructure is built in and around its hills, forests and lakes, making it one of the most aesthetically pleasing places to live or visit in all of the east coast.
Growth in tourism
This has seen an influx of tourists flock to the region over the past few years, creating a social hub on the beach front, with the town around the sands packed with fine dining and quality bars. As one of the best surfing spots in Oz, it’s fair to say that the beaches here rival any you will find in not just Australia, but the world. Noosa’s main beach is a beautiful spot looking over the rocky headlands, and is actually one of the only beaches on the coast to face north. Peregian Beach is also a great place to while the day away.
On Noosa’s north shore, you must check out Coloured Sands, which is a 40-mile strip of golden sand, ideal for putting your feet up and getting away from it all.
