Tatts Finke Desert Race
Date: 7 – 10 June 2019
Finke Desert Race is a two day multi – terrain race for bikes, cars, buggies and quads from Alice Springs to the small Aputula community through the desert country. The race is the main feature of the off road race calendar and the King of the Desert Trophy is the most sought after prize.
The Alice Springs Beanie Festival
Date: 28 June – 2 July 2019
The festival was run on a voluntary basis by a group of friends including Pamela Bladon, Merran Hughes and Jo Nixon. It has grown into a fun event where Aboriginal and non – Aboriginal artists share and exhibit together in their culture. Due to its community participation and unique ties with local Aboriginal organizations, the festival is considered unique.
Alice Spring Camel Cup

While camels may have a reputation as dedicated ‘ desert ships, ‘ the personality of these magnificent beasts is certainly not short. Racing them can be a nightmare for riders and handlers, but for spectators fantastic viewing. Entertainment is guaranteed, with nine unique races planned throughout the day around the dusty outback track.
