Day 1 Perth to Pinnacles

First day of the Perth to Exmouth tour! Set off to the local shops and stock up on food for our delicious home cooked meals. We then head north and stop along the way for a quick lunch. Enjoy the beautiful views along the Indian Ocean drive and explore the pinnacles desert. A short drive brings us to our picturesque beach side camp site where we stay the night. Watch the sunset with your new mates and enjoy a beer.

Day 2 – Geraldton and the Pink Lake

Sleep off your hangover or have an early morning swim then hit the road around 9.30 am. Before lunch we checkout Geraldton or take an optional boat tour of jurien bay. Then head to the beautiful Pink Lake. The campsite tonight is at the scenic lucky bay, walk the sand dunes or swim as the sun goes down. There is plenty of space at the campsite so time to turn the music on and let your hair down for the night.

Day 3 – Kalbarri National Park

Hit the road and enjoy the Scenic kalbarri cliffs before a quick swim and cold shower at the river mouth. Then explore the amazing Kalbarri National Park with a few hours of hiking to Nature’s Window and the Z Bend. In the late afternoon we hit the road to our overnight stop by the river.

Day 4 – Shark Bay

This Morning we drive into the World Heritage site of Shark Bay. Check out Shell Beach, relax and swim in the crystal clear water. After lunch we drive into the town of Denham followed by a stop at the Lagoon for a game of ultimate frisbee or cricket. It’s now time for a bit of luxury as we camp at the Monkey Mia Dolphin resort. After dinner and an amazing sunset you can head down to the jetty and spot wildlife with your torch or kick back on the grass around the campsite.

Day 5 – Monkey Mia, Dolphins & Carnarvon

Wake up and walk 50 m down to the water’s edge. It’s time to meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins, if you are lucky you will get to feed flipper his scaly breakfast. There is a few free hours to explore swim or rent a kayak. We hit the road around lunchtime and travel to Carnarvon to resupply. The campsite is a short drive north of here where we stay the night.

Day 6 – Coral Bay Day 1

Roll into coral bay mid morning and set up camp. There are now essentially two days to explore, Snorkel the amazing reef, (Optional Fishing charter, diving, whale shark tours) or just sit with your new friends on the beach and enjoy this special place. Usually things will kickoff pretty early and by late afternoon everyone is ready to blow off some steam and party. Truth or Dare anyone? The campsite is a 5 minute walk from the beach and everything else in town.

Day 7 – Coral Bay Day 2

Extra day in coral bay. You can really see the reef at its finest, only meters from the beach are huge coral formations and large fish. If you are lucky you might swim alongside a turtle or friendly reef shark! (Optional Fishing charter, diving, Manta Ray Tours, whale shark tours)

Day 8 – Exmouth and Surfing

With the right weather conditions we can hit the Exmouth town beach and enjoy some water sports. Take a jetski and see dolphins and whales (in season) go tubing behind the jetskis for a wild adrenaline rush or just relax on the beach. In the afternoon there is the option to rent a surfboard or do a lesson ($25, $50) our campsite tonight can vary depending on what the group feels, in town or by the beach.

Day 9 – Cape Range National park, Whale Sharks, Ningaloo Reef

Our lucky Whale shark/Humpback swimmers will be picked from the campsite early morning. The rest of the group will travel to the Cape Range National Park and explore the many sites. The lighthouse at sunset really sets the scene for our last night together and if we are lucky we will see the Humpback Whales breaching on the Horizon. The last night at the campsite is a nice time to spend with your new mates, make plans to meet in future travels or wonder how you can find a way to come back.

Day 10 (Return) – Head towards Home

Pack Up and say goodbye to your friends. People who are continuing north can be dropped in Exmouth or coral bay as we drive south. A roadside camp will be home tonight.
