Irish techno lord Phil Kieran will return to Australia this June.
Phil Kieran has undoubtedly become a key name associated with Belfast’s illustrious music scene. Growing up in the Northern Irish capital on a diet of well-established techno and an appreciation of the cities infamous nightlife, his longstanding residency at Shine nightclub certainly aided his reputation and catapulted his career.
Kieran’s risk-taking musical eclecticism has seen him collaborate with some of the industries most reputable names, Peter Hook, Gary Numan, and Green Velvet, as well as being hand-picked to remix Depeche Mode’s ‘Sweetest Perfection‘. Weaving effortlessly through a multitude of genres, Kieran identifies primarily as a techno producer, a sound which his imprint label PKR reflects. Never one to remain within the confines of any one sound, projects such as his Polyrhythmic EP or his ode to Australia project titled Last Train to Melbourne, delve into dance, electronic, and ambient genres. Kieran followed up his last album Blinded By The Sun by writing the score for acclaimed play East Belfast Boy and producing music for both film and TV including several tracks for the recent BAFTA-winning series Killing Eve.
