Earlier this year the Pitch Music & Arts festival announced itself with a highly successful debut event just outside of Melbourne in Victoria. Such was the praise for the event that many called it the new benchmark for electronic music festivals in Australia. ‘Striking brutalist stages atop endless Mafeking landscapes’ housed four days of what is now considered the best electronic music lineup Australia has ever seen. Not only was it the music though, as they outdid themselves with everything from the food to the art to the stage design. It truly was a feast for all the senses.
The feedback was unanimous: Pitch Music & Arts was a major success. But it did leave people with a burning question: How could they possibly top that event and line-up? Well, we are about to find out as Pitch Music & Arts is starting to fire up. Following up the news that they will indeed be back in 2018, the team has dropped the news of their first booking, and it is none other than Berghain regular Len Faki!
It’s been 3 long years since this techno royalty graced Australian shores so Pitch Music & Arts will be the perfect environment to welcome him back. The Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner is easily one of the most outstanding and in-demand artists in techno today. And being a regular at Berlin’s Berghain since its opening in 2004 has ensured he is constantly evolving without ever losing its vibrant and unique energy.
Stay tuned for more Pitch Music & Arts info as it happens. If this is only the start of the annoucenment we can definitely expect some big news ahead!
