Noisily prides itself on underground dance music diversity, crossing a wide array of electronic genres, from Deep and Progressive House, Jungle and Drum & Bass all the way to Psychedelic Trance and Ambient. The line-up from Noisily this year does just that, continues the festivals tradition in style with a fantastic selection of artists to escape reality with. Here’s a selection of the acts to to look out for between 11th and 15th July…
1. LTJ Bukem
Pioneer and legend of the Jazz influenced Liquid Drum & Bass and Jungle sound, LTJ Bukem will bring the soul and euphoria to the stage in style. With nearly thirty years in the scene, Bukem is a true veteran to the dance floor, and will take festival attendees to another realm of rapid groove rhythms.
Technically terrific, Icicle is a masterful producer and relentlessly raw DJ, his sets are both varied in style and full of energy. Crossing genres seamlessly yet keeping that one theme dominant in his mixes, speed and aggression. Furiocious tune selection is always consistent with this man, and no one does it better.
3. Mad Professor
Digital dub pioneer Mad Professor brings electricity to the stage with over thirty years of live experience and a live 24 channel mixer (or 16, or 8, he’s got it all). Having worked with the likes of Lee Scratch Perry and Massive Attack. His talents go unprecedented, and is sure to bring the vibe to the festival in true dub and reggae fashion.
4. Kurse & Seppa
Bristol based Bass heavyweights Kursa & Seppa differ from a lot of the other artists on the line-up, with production styles drawing influence from Neurofunk Drum & Bass, Dubstep and Hip-Hop. Expect an explosion of sounds that imitate robots fighting each other with funky, broken drum patterns accompanying the sonic soundscape battle emerging from the sound system.
5. System 7
It wouldn’t be a Noisily festival without a fantastic selection of Psychedelic Trance and Progressive House artists, which brings us onto System 7. A duo that electrifies the stage with their live sets, crossing over tempo’s from House to Trance fluently with an extended selection of analog production gear and an electric guitar. Their sets are intergalactic and psychedelic, and know how to keep the crowd enthused and captivated.
