Calm Beaches and Aquatic Life

Rockingham consists of 37 km of spectacular coastline that is famous for its clam, safe and pristine waters. There is also an abundance of aquatic activities that you can take advantage of in Shoalwater Island Marine Park while you are there.

Sailing and Windsurfing

Rockingham has unique beaches and the northern facing Palm Beach that provide sheltered waters for aquatic recreation and swimming throughout most parts of the year. The southern facing Safety Bay area also provides one of the best windsurfing and sailing opportunities out there.

Aquatic Life

You can also experience a penguin viewing facility, recreational boat and jetty fishing, vast stretches of sandy white beaches, swimming among wild dolphins, sailing a yacht within the protected bay while you are on a trip to Rockingham.

Located 72 km to the south, Mandurah is the second largest city in Western Australia. It started off as a modest fishing village but has now developed into a thriving tourist destination. Many flocks to the beach for fishing and boating purposes.

You need to catch the Transperth Mandurah train line from esplanade station or the underground in the city of Perth. Once you arrive at Perth, you can catch the shuttle bus and get to the foreshore.

Tourist Attractions

Mandurah is filled with many must-see places. Due to the location on the coast, the city attracts a number of tourists throughout the year. You will get to see seagulls, dolphins and rare blue manna crabs in these waters. You can also boat, fish, and swim here if you are a fan of these activities.
