The Hula Bula Bar
The Hula Bula bar is a small bar with a tiki theme located just off Hay Street. The Hula Bula bar remains faithful to the “tiki” spirit with plenty of bamboo, tropical airbrush paintings, leopard print and wooden carvings with a laid back atmosphere. The drinks list is also in keeping with the Hawaiian theme with an impressive selection of beautifully presented cocktails.
You can find the Mustang Bar at Lake Street, Northbridge. Check out their famous ‘Tailgate Sundays’ which have some of the state’s most popular musicians such as Peta Lee and the Vibrolators and Johnny Law and the Pistol Packin Daddies on rotation. They also have a wide-range of wines, featuring local and international wines, and a themed cocktail list.
Palace Arcade is the bringing together of classic arcade games, New York style pizza and a top-level bar offering. People can play games like Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Frogger and Donkey Kong for $1-2 a game. You can find Palace Arcade on Beaufort Street, Northbridge.
Wolf Lane bar is named after the alley ‘Wolf Lane’ and is open Friday and Saturday from four pm to one am and is available for private events and functions all other days of the week. The Fantasy art, vintage furniture and moody lighting gives this bar an Alice in wonderland atmosphere. They have a wide range of boutique beers, local and international wines as well as cocktails.
The carnival themed Bobeche is an underground pub located in the basement of the popular Heritage Brasserie on St Georges Terrace. Bobeche is known for serving great cocktails that are served out of teapots, and excellent bar staff delivering top notch service.
Jack Rabbit Slim’s
Jack Rabbit Slim’s is a 1950s retro diner that provide live entertainment such as rock, R&B, indie, hip hop, and electronic music. You can find Jack Rabbit Slim’s at Aberdeen Street near Russell Square. This late night music diner is open until 5am on Fridays and Saturdays.
