Day 1 Pinnacles Desert & Jurien Bay
Leaving Perth we go to Nambung National Park to explore the Pinnacles Desert a landscape like no other in the country. Then you journey to the massive sand dunes of Jurien Bay. You have the opportunity to enjoy a sandboard down the slopes. From here we continue through Geraldton to Kalbarri where you stay overnight. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Day 2 Kalbarri National Park & Shell Beach
On day two you take the short drive to Kalbarri National Park where you explore some of the park’s diverse scenery like Murchison Gorge, Natures Window, the Loop and Z-Bend Gorge (a steep descent but worth the effort for a refreshing swim). There is also the option to abseil here for those looking for even more adventure (own expense).
Shell Beach
After lunch visit the beautiful Shell Beach is one of only two beaches in the world made entirely of shells, before getting back on the road towards Denham and Shark Bay. All three meals are provided.
Day 3 Monkey Mia & Shark Bay
After a short drive across the Peron Peninsula you make your way to the beach and visit the world famous Monkey Mia dolphins. The next stop is Carnarvon where you can see the fascinating stromatolites at Hamelin Pool. After a short break we continue along the highway to Coral Bay, the ‘Jewel of the Northwest’. All three meals are provided.
Days 4-5 Coral Bay & Exmouth
Take a day to explore Coral Bay and we will also visit Ningaloo Reef the amazing marine life that lives below the waterline. Take a snorkel or cruise on a glass bottom boat to see for yourself. (Activities at own expense and subject to availability). Then we take a short drive into Exmouth. Enjoy at the bar of the private camp site on Yardie Creek Station and watch the sunset as kangaroos hop about the grounds. In the morning, go snorkeling or diving, search for whale sharks (seasonal and at own expense) or view Vlamingh Head Lighthouse then choose to laze on the pristine beach at Turquoise Bay. All three meals on both days are included.
Days 6-8 Karijini National Park
We head inland past many Aussie cattle stations to reach the outback oasis of Karijini National Park. We will pass through Tom Price, a little town known for its iron ore mining, before reaching the camp overlooking the magnificent Hamersley Range.
Adventure
Two full days of adventure is just the perfect amount of time needed to explore Karijini National Park and its amazing gorges. Formed over 2,500 million years ago, the Hamersley Ranges are some of the most unusual landforms on earth. Dales Gorge, Fortesque Falls, Fern Pool, Circular Pool, Weano Gorge and Hancock Gorge are just some of the unforgettable areas we’ll visit. All three meals on all three days are provided.
Day 9 The Pilbara
We travel towards the coast and the iron ore town of Port Hedland. We have time for a quick town tour and to marvel at the incredible size of the iron ore industry. After lunch we travel to the Pilbara region, where we spend the night on an overnight station stay. Breakfast , lunch and dinner are provided.
The Pilbara is a large, dry, thinly populated region in the north of Western Australia. It is known for its Aboriginal peoples; its ancient landscapes; the red earth; its vast mineral deposits, in particular iron ore; and as a global biodiversity hotspot for subterranean fauna. The main attractions of Pilbarra include Karijini National park, Millstream Chichester national Park Murujuga, Hamersley Gorge, Hancock gorge, Mount Bruce, Montebello Islands, Weano Gorge and Fern pool.
Day 10 Eighty Mile Beach & Broome
Enjoy the beauty of the 80 Mile Beach, one of Australia’s hidden gems. Take a stroll along the white sandy beach and get some photos of the azure water, before coming into Broome where we say our final farewell. Breakfast and lunch are provided.
