Peel Zoo

This privately funded zoo is only a 15-minute drive away from Mandurah. The specialty in this zoo is the hands-on experience that can be experienced. It can vary from holding a python to hand feeding kangaroos as well as native birds.

Peel-Harvey Estuary

It is a large system of shallow estuarine and freshwater lakes. The sheer amount of water birds residing in this estuary combined with large numbers of migrant shorebirds make this an ideal place for people and bird watchers alike.

Abingdon Miniature Village

Situated less than a ten-minute drive from Mandurah, Abingdon Miniature Village is yet another attraction near Mandurah. As the name suggests, this place boasts of scale models of historic buildings & railways including a hedge maze and a mini-golf course all set in eye-catching backdrops of well-maintained gardens.

Halls Head Beach

Just an 8-minute drive from Mandurah lies the beautiful beach Halls Head. It is a wonderful place to hang out as well as to swim. In addition, shaded grass areas fitted with BBQ facilities allow visitors to lay back and enjoy a peaceful meal as well.

Yalgorup National Park

Famous for its coastal lakes and wetlands, the Yalgorup National Park is a bird paradise. Just 40 minutes away from Mandurah, it is another tourist attraction famous for Thrombolite living fossils which are some of the first living creatures on earth.
