3-Day Uluru Rock Trip
Explore one of the country’s most iconic landmarks with Mulgas Adventures. Their 3-Day Rock Trip takes you on a journey through the Red Centre, Australia’s beating heart that pulses with natural beauty and wonderful wilderness.
Leaving from and returning to Alice Springs, the tour gives you an authentic Aussie outback experience over 3 days and 2 nights, visiting the world’s most famous rock, Uluru, and on to the lesser known, but no less incredible, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon.
Day One
Early start then bound for Uluru to marvel at this mega monolith. After lunch you’ll learn about the area’s plants, animals and Aboriginal people through a guided interpretive walk and visit to the Cultural Centre. There’s then some time to relax as you grab a glass of bubbly to watch the stunning Uluru sunset before heading back to camp for dinner, a hot shower and a night under the stars.
Day Two
Enjoy breakfast with sunrise over Uluru before journeying onwards to Kata Tjuta. Here you’ll walk through the famous Valley of the Winds. After lunch, the next destination is Kings Creek Station, your home for the night. Take in the magnificent George Gill Range on the way before a good old outback BBQ around a campfire, and then snuggle into your swag for another sleep under the sparking star-filled sky.
Day Three
Fuel up for the day with breakfast then take on the breath-taking Kings Canyon Rim walk, taking in all the amazing rock formations on the way, like The Garden of Eden and many more. On the journey home there’s a stop at a camel farm where you’ll get the chance to take a free camel ride!
The trip costs $370 and includes an experienced Aussie guide, all park entry/camping fees, pick-up and drop-off at accommodation, air-conditioned bus, glass of bubbly at sunset, meals as listed and swag to sleep in!
