Wuzhizhou Island

This tiny island, often considered to be shaped like an irregular butterfly, boasts rich plant life with more than 2,000 species, and clear water to spot lobster, urchins and colourful tropical fish, perfect for snorkelling and diving.

Xishuangbanna

Besides the eventful Water-Splashing Festival that sees locals and visitors soak the streets, Xishuangbanna is renowned for its natural scenery. Found on the border of Laos and Myanmar, it is home to the bulk of mainland China’s tropical rainforest, and as a result is where you’ll find some of the best wildlife in the country including elephants.
