Go on a Free Walking Tour of Perth

This is a free walking tour led by volunteer guides every Monday to Friday from the Information Kiosk in the Murray Street Mall. The two-hour tours take you through the city gardens, on an art trail or through gold rush history. An ideal exploration to Perth you’ll visit landmarks such as the Bell Tower, Elizabeth Quay, and Yagan Square as you go off the beaten path into the city’s laneways and arcades.

Feed the Swans at Lake Monger

Located in Wembley, just west of Leederville in Perth’s north, Lake Monger is a great spot to see the WA’s famous black swans. An oasis of tranquillity so close to the city, parklands with playgrounds, lots of water birds and even tortoises. Excellent place to come with your friends and feed the swans. You can feed them, but be careful, they may chase you!

Fishing in the Swan River

Set up your fishing rod in the Swan River and catch some free dinner. There are a few popular spots, including under the Narrows bridge, the Causeway, East Fremantle, and Mosman Bay. Catch fishes like the Flathead, Flounder, Yellow Fin Whiting, Tailor, Herring, and Grunter.
