8 Jobs That Are Perfect For People Who Love To Travel
Do you love to travel? One of the few things that can prevent us from a life of travelling is the worry of having enough to money. So you don’t have to give up on your dream, here are eight jobs that are perfect for travellers.
1. Teach English
Get your TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) at home, and you can travel as you teach around the world. It doesn’t take long to obtain and it really opens up where you can teach (most foreign schools require you to have it). Volunteer companies like Frontier include the TEFL in their Teaching projects in amazing locations like Fiji, Madagascar, Costa Rica and China, and are great ways to kick off your travels.
2. Contributor To Travel Magazines/Websites
By actively travelling, your experience could become valuable content for travel publications. Start a blog, get active on social media and you could even wait for them to come to you, but try and pitch yourself to publications to see if they’re interested. Obviously, you have to be able to write informative and inspirational content!
3. Photography
Got a good eye? If you’re travelling, chances are you’ll be taking hundreds if not thousands of photos of locations and activities. To make money from them, you can sell them to photo stock websites for easy money!
4. Bar Work
From the beach bars of Brazil to the clubs of Sydney, venues all over the world need people that know how to pour a pint and make a mojito. As long as you have the work rights and certification you need, you can find work pretty much anywhere.
Want to work behind a bar in Australia? You need an RSA for that.
5. Work On A Cruise Ship
Working on a cruise ship is all about travelling the world, so if you can land yourself a gig, you could find yourself touring the Americas, Caribbean or Mediterranean. You will spend most of your time on the ship and there can be long hours, but working and living conditions have improved a lot, with more attention on out-of-work activities for the crew members than ever before.
6. Flight Attendant
If what you love about travel is being in the air, then a job as a flight attendant couldn’t be more perfect. Of course, you also get to visit some amazing destinations, but expect crazy hours and an even crazier lifestyle as you figure out where you’re going to be one week from the next. What makes this job different from the rest is that you’ll be returning home regularly.
7. Tour Guide
If you’re outgoing, like meeting new people and know a bit about a certain destination, you could be a tour guide. You will have to be happy travelling the same route over and over, but if they’re travel-worthy destinations, they should keep you as amazed as the people you’re showing them off to!

8. Au Pair
As a live-in nanny, you not only receive accommodation, but also a salary, food and even benefits like holidaying with the family for free and being chauffeured around. However, the job is demanding; working hours can be 24/7 and no task is too dirty or trivial – including changing nappies and seeing to the baby at 3am.
