That jetty. That sunset. That wine. Busselton is one of the most picturesque locations
of the Margaret River Wine Region in southwest Western Australia – and that’s saying something considering the whole region is pretty, well, pretty.
The Busselton Jetty is the longest timber jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, stretching 1.8km across Geographe Bay. This picture-perfect sight is outstanding at sunset with the waters of the bay so calm and clear as they reflect the evening sky. Jump on board the Jetty Train to the Underwater Observatory; eight metres below the water’s edge with a view of more than 300 tropical corals, fish and other marine life in an artificial reef.

Inland, Busselton provides an array of activities from easy cycling to music festivals and wine tours. To sample the produce of the vineyards, head to Cullen Wines & Restaurant, Clairault Wines and Whicher Ridge Wines. Due to its location, food is also a big deal, with seafood, pasta and sorbet served up in casual and sophisticated settings.
We’ve already covered how stunning Busselton and the surrounding Margaret River Wine Region is, so if you really want to take it all in, the best way is with a tandem skydive with Southern Skydivers. Ok, so the adrenaline may cloud your vision at first as you fall from up to 15,000ft, but once you’re calm, you can take in the view with your experienced and qualified instructor. From the blue horizon to the lush rolling hills, separated by a white strip of sand, Busselton is up there as one of the best locations in the world to do a skydive. Before you jump, you’ll be treated to a 20-minute flight over Busselton, and, when you land, you’ll feel the soft sand of one of the beaches below your feet and enjoy a drink at the beachside café!
Priced from $339, you can get $30 off of your tandem skydive with Southern Skydivers just by mentioning BBMPROMO when booking.
Visit www.southernskydivers.com.au to book your tandem skydive.
