A New Species of Marsupial Discovered In Australia

A brand new species of reptile-come-marsupial has been discovered in the darkest depths of Australia’s rainforests situated in the Northern Territory.

Researchers made the discovery after collecting wildlife samples in their ongoing research carried out in the area.

The marsupial type creature has been nicknamed the ‘Quokkadile’ due to its reptilian resemblance to the crocodile and its quokka-like body. It is thought that a small population of the animals are beginning to flourish in the area, with locals reporting sights of the strange creature.

Australia is known for its unique evolution of animals, and although this animal appears to be another marsupial, it is thought to be aggressive, so approach with caution.
