Get a taste for Artistic Director Kate Ceberano’s first Adelaide Cabaret Festival as she unveils four exciting new shows for 2012.
The variety Gala Performance will open Kate Ceberano’s first Adelaide Cabaret Festival as Artistic Director in spectacular style. Featuring highlight performances from international and local cabaret stars.
The four new shows include three Australian premieres and one world premiere with Stormy Weather, the Lena Horne Project which stars Mary Wilson, a founding member of Motown’s The Supremes. Also performing is UK hit comedian Lenny Henry, Kim Smith returns with his latest Weimar-era inspired cabaret, Misfit, and The Velvet Gentlemen with The Odd Story of Erik Satie, an humourous and affectionate tribute in music, song and text to one of the fathers of cabaret.
Tickets are on sale now for these shows ahead of the official program launch on March 31, so that you can get a taste of the look and feel that Kate will be presenting later this year.
