Agnes Water is described as one of Australia’s best-kept secrets. It is Queensland’s northern-most surf beach, and is surrounded by beautiful National Parks. There is so much to do, and the range of things to see is extensive. Fishing, 4WDriving, yachting, surfing, swimming, sailing, diving, bushwalking, bird watching and you can even learn to fly. Finding something that you will fall in love with will not be hard here.
If you’ve ever dreamed about joining a biker crew, you can experience the exhilaration of Scooteroo, which is voted as “One of the top five things to do on the East Coast”. This activity gives you the feeling of riding along the open road on your own mini Chopper motorcycle with a “Biker Pack”, while dressed in flamed leather Jackets. They even give you stick on tattoos to add to the authenticity of the experience.
You can’t really go to Agnes Water and not have the ride of your life as a hairy biker. Even if you’ve never been on a bike before, the experienced staff will help and encourage you through your experience. You can cruise through the area along the cliffs and the beaches. Rather than doing your standard tourist activity like surfing, scuba or bungee jumping, try Scooteroo and give yourself a unique and different experience.
If you’re more interested in appreciating natural beauty at your own pace, you can walk through the rainforest and check out the amazing views from a hilltop lookout. You can also enjoy your own Castaway experience and fly away to a deserted island to live in the wild.

The Tree Bar is a place that’s brought people together since 1770 in Agnes Water. It’s located on the beachfront and has great sights, amazing views of the water and surrounds. Where the mountains meet the ocean and the sunsets over the water, it is paradise. This is a laid back place to relax after a day packed with adventure.
Beachside Backpacker is the closest hostel to the beach in town. They offer a wide range of holiday accommodation options, from self-catering and luxury apartments to a fully equipped hostel located that is 200 meters from Agnes Water Main Beach. It is minutes away from the Agnes Water town centre and shopping facilities. Alternatively, you could stay in Agnes Palms Beachside Apartments for up to $160 a night. Or, for a two-bedroom apartment, the winter special will cost $100 a night.
The Agnes Tavern is a great watering hole that also offers accommodation. You can enjoy their live entertainment in the beer garden or have a drink in the huge undercover decking area overlooking the surrounding
native forest.
From Brisbane the travel time is around five hours. If you’re hiring a car, just travel north through Bundaberg and follow the sings through to Agnes Water. You can hire a Might Camper from $35 per day, so $105 for a three-day adventure. Or you can jump on the Greyhound bus and hop-off at your location.
