Alt-J are embarking on an Australian tour this October following the release of their new album, ‘This Is All Yours’, on 19th September.
Worldwide tours, festival regulars, British Mercury Music Prize winners and an Ivor Novello Award, Alt-J are returning with their second album and we’re all waiting with bated breath.
‘This Is All Yours’ will aim to be just as successful, if not more than, ‘An Awesome Wave’, which received critical acclaim in their home country of the UK and worldwide. And despite the departure of bassist, Gwill Sainsbury, released singles ‘Hunger Of The Pine’ (sampling Miley Cyrus) and ‘Left Hand Free’ promise that there is so much more to come.
With the release of their highly anticipated second offering on 19th September, Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green are set to embark on an Australian tour, which will see them visit Sydney and Melbourne for two extraordinary live shows. At Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on 6th October and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre the following day, ticket-holders will get the chance to witness the threesome play favourite tracks such as ‘Breezeblocks’, ‘Tessellate’ ‘Something Good’, and brand new material.
Joining the band will be Perth singer, Grace, a 24-year-old songstress originally catching the ear of the late Heath Ledger. Working on her upcoming album, she is guaranteed to warm up the crowds with stammering beats and soft vocals.
Tickets are available from ticketmaster.com.au and ticketek.com.au, and are $84.10pp for Sydney, and $85.20 for Melbourne.
