Born from the brain of Perth local Liam Mazzucchelli after a desire to find a venue where the Underground was promoted, where the music and club scene could flourish within his own parameters. The Perth scene was at a place where the opening of such a venue captured a part of the market that was hungry for a place to play and expand in.

Since the early days Ambar has grown to be Perth’s premier Breakbeat venue, being voted number 42 in the world, making it number 1 in Australia, in the DJ Mag Top 50 Clubs poll in 2006.
