ANITA SPRING – BIG CRUSH

Anita Spring has long been known as one of Australia’s finest vocalists but in 2018 she has re-emerged with a stunning collection of contemporary country-pop songs that are achieving the recognition she so richly deserves. Deeply respected by the music community Anita dabbled in pop fame early in her career being signed internationally to Universal and recording at the famed AIR Studio in the UK, before exploring music closer to her heart – soul and contemporary jazz. She became an in-demand session and touring vocalist and began writing her own music.

Now living on the beach in sunny Northern NSW Anita has realised her musical journey by creating a heartfelt EP, entitled The Bridge, consisting of three original country-pop songs spearheaded by the single Big Crush.

This follows the successful release of the single Fallen For You that re-introduced Anita to Australian audiences and found favour on radio stations in Australia, in the USA and even in the UK.
The Bridge examines the experience and genuine emotions of a woman who has grown, loved, face challenges, worked and lived in the real world, realised what’s important and then has grown some more. Supporting the buoyant and playful single Big Crushare the gorgeous pop-rock celebration Better Than Champagne and a luscious ballad Goodbye You, Hello Me.
The title of the EP, The Bridge, reflects the transition Anita has made from her early pop singer career to the exciting road that leads off into her future.

Produced by Steve Welton-Jaimes in London, and mixed by the incomparable Pete Keppler (Patti Smith, David Byrne, Bonnie Raitt, Katie Perry and David Bowie) in New York the recordings sound heavenly and showcases one of the finest voices to be found in Australia.

The time has come for the world to discover the masterful and emotional sounds of Anita Spring.
