
Arrested Development Announced For WOMADelaide 2014
WOMADelaide, the Australian festival celebrating WOMAD (World of Music, Arts and Dance), has recently announced another 11 acts who are set to play the the festival in 2014.
Held at Adelaide’s Botanic Park from 7th – 10th March 2014, two-time Grammy Award winning Hip-Hop act Arrested Development have been revealed to play in the latest announcement, which means they will join the previously announced singer-songwriter-activist Billy Bragg, Japanese Funk band Osaka Monaurail and many more.
When Arrested Development formed in 1992, they helped to change the view of Hip-Hop and were the first of their kind to create positive and socially conscious Hip-Hop. The performance they give at WOMADelaide will be an exclusive.
Many other acts were announced at the same time as Arrested Development including Scottish Folk-Rock band Breabach, Spanish Flamenco Jazz fusion act Buika, Blues star Danyel Waro and Australian singer-songwriter Kutcher Edwards among so many others.
The full WOMADelaide program, which includes over 60 local, national and international acts from over 30 countries will be released on 14th November 2014.
