Asian Beer Cafe Every Thursday And Saturday

Have you been to the Asian Beer Cafe in Melbourne Central? If not, why not?! The bar is located inside the huge Melbourne Central complex, but can be easily found on level 3 if you go straight up the escalator on the corner of La Trobe and Swanston Streets.

They offer customers “the experience of adventure,” which mixes authenticity with the contemporary. They serve typical East Asian flavour dishes in dining rooms with great views across the city.

The interior is traditional but modest, in a worn Asian style that features 70-year-old recycled materials, including iron wood from an old cargo ship that was sunk by pirates off the coast of Indonesia. Ahh, now we understand why it’s named the Asian Beer Cafe.

But if you’re not interested in fine dining, then there are weekly events on Thursdays and Saturdays that are bound to suit you. ABC, One Two Three is their regular night held on a Thursday, which is a throwback to 90s pop (and who doesn’t love that). Ladies are in luck on a Thursday, with the ABC’s offer of $1 champagne for the female kind, between 5 and 7pm – unbeatable! But don’t worry, plenty of other drinks specials are available for everyone between 4-8pm, with prices starting at $5.

If you’re more of a soul person, then head down to the Asian Beer Cafe on a Saturday night, where their night, Phat, plays a range of the best hip-hop, soul and RnB, with live DJs from 7pm. 2 for 1 cocktails are on offer from 4-7pm for the earlybirds, as well as other drinks deals from $5 between 4-8pm.
