Audiojack Gruuv Down Under
British tech house duo Audiojack will be returning to Australia over the new year’s period.
Audiojack hail from England, but live in Ibiza, and have spent the past 10 years conquering the world. Starting off their career on the legendary Leeds-based label 20:20 Vision and playing at the iconic Back to Basics club night in the city, Audiojack have since gone on to do big things and have become one of the biggest names in tech house.
During their 10-year career, Audiojack have had a string of releases on Renaissance, Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels and Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations and in 2010, launched their own label Gruuv – focused on ‘dancefloor ready house and techno’.
Their latest offering the ‘Paradigm EP’ released on Systematic is a true treat for the ears. On one side Paradigm is a gorgeous example of melodic, building deep house, on the other side ‘is the darker Vapourise’, with a heavier squelching bass and distorted vocal sample. The EP also features a remix from Guy Mantzur & Roy Rosenfeld.
Audiojack will begin their Australian tour alongside names like Doorly, Carl Craig, Oliver Huntemann and more at the almost sold out Beyond the Valley festival in Victoria on 29th December. They will then fly to Sydney for two shows on NYE, The Greenwood in Sydney during day/night for the Code crew which will also feature Mano Le Tough, Umek, Alex Niggemann and Guy Gerber, and then Mr Crown in Wollongong to see in the new year. Their final stop will be in Melbourne on New Year’s Day for the season opener of Piknic Electronik alongside Session Victim..
