Barunga Festival 2015
Barunga festival is an amazing opportunity to meet, compete, discuss and celebrate the diversity of Australia. Celebrating everything music, sport, culture, art and dance, Barunga festival is an event that welcomes non-Indigenous people to experience the customs of the traditional and modern Aboriginal life held on the Queen’s birthday long weekend.
With a strong history of showcasing the Katherine region, where remote indigenous communities come together to celebrate the positive aspects of community life, this hidden gem is for everyone to enjoy and engage with a remote community, in a small town two hours away of Katherine.
With an incredible turn out of 3000 visitors last year, this much loved festival promises to deliver an incredible programme full of multiple festive activities.
