Ben Sommers Album Release Party

Following the release of his acclaimed debut album, ‘Avocado Chip’, Ben Sommers is set to perform a brand new live set on 3rd November at London Venue The Slaughtered Lamb, in celebration of the album’s release.

As a preview of what to expect from his new live set up, Ben Sommers recently took his live act to Sussex’s famed Yellow Fish Studios for an intimate performance of some of the album’s highlights.
Sommers’ live act has been an ever-evolving beast, even since his beginnings on the live scene in London. Whether found on his lonesome with an acoustic guitar and loop pedals or backed by a myriad of sonic comrades, his performances have always been recognised as something enigmatic, spellbinding and rather special. Now set to appear for the first time with members of London group Jack In Water, Ben Sommers is set to bring ‘Avocado Chip’ to life at The Slaughtered Lamb.

His recent Yellow Fish sessions have been released as a taster of what is to come at the forthcoming release party. ‘Hillary, Oh Hillary’ brings in urgent strings and bass guitar to accompany the songs lurching crescendoes, whilst ‘Elephant, You’ finds our leading man playing the song’s fragile piano lines to a near-hushed silence, echoing the song’s emotional resonance.
