This year’s World Cup hosted by Brazil has kicked off with some great matches been played out in the opening group stage fixtures. At BBM we wouldn’t want our readers to miss out on any of these matches especially those in Group D where England didn’t have the best of starts to the tournament. So that you don’t miss The Three Lions’ upcoming game against Uruguay this Friday, we taken it upon ourselves to find you lovely football fans the best bars in Sydney to watch England World Cup games. Have a look at our fantastic list of venues and find one that’s near you.

Palace Hotel

We bet you didn’t think you’d find a bar that would be showing the nice and early 5am kick off game between Uruguay and England. At the Palace Hotel on George Street make sure you’re amongst the buzzing England supporters battling the desire to sleep whilst cheering on the Three Lions who will be looking to put some points on the board the second time of asking in the Arena de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo.

With FOUR big screens available, the bar opening from 5am and serving alcohol and coffees from when the doors open, you can’t pick a better bar to go to for the World Cup.

Coogee Bay Hotel

The Hotel is right across the Coogee Beach and offers up more than just your typical hotel and for this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Coogee Bay Hotel will be screening all the action live. At BBM we can’t think of a place in OZ that could replicate the Copacabana’s beach football feel better than Coogee Beach. Also, what better place is there to be when both Uruguay and the Three Lions grace the Arena de Sao Paulo pitch to restore the belief that both can qualify from Group D.

After tasting defeat at the hands of Pirlo’s Italy, England will be aiming to take three points away with them to kick start their World Cup. But will a returning Luis Suarez to Uruguay’s starting line-up derail Roy Hodgson’s plans? Be at the Coogee Bay Hotel on Friday for the 5am kick off.

Pyrmont Bridge Hotel

Across Pyrmont Bridge Hotel’s three floors you can catch all of the 64 games that will be kicking off from June 14th in Brazil for the FIFA World Cup. So, for this Friday’s 5am early kick off will see Group D’s bottom two, Uruguay and England face each other in the second round of the group stage fixtures. Both teams will be looking to resurrect their tournaments after falling at the first hurdle of this year’s World Cup.

Join the England fans at the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel, cheering on the Three Lions as they take on Uruguay in Sao Paulo. The early morning kick off shouldn’t put you off as the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel will facilitate all the needs of the die-hard football fans.

With PBH’s 15 screens, you’re sure to catch every moment of the games of whoever you’ll be cheering on at the competition this year. The England squad kicked off their campaign against Italy on Sunday which ended in a 2-1 loss, but the squad’s performance was seen as an improvement from previous games. However, Rooney’s place in the starting 11 has been put into question. Does he deserve a starting place against Uruguay?

Wayne Rooney will have something to prove if he’s included in the starting 11 and Luis Suarez is expected to return from injury to boost the hopes of the 2 times World Cup winners, Uruguay.

All at BBM suggest you don’t miss out on the lively atmosphere and banter by being anywhere else if you’re near Goulburn Street. Doors will be closing at 1:30am where nobody else will be allowed entry but will be reopened at 5am, just in time for the Uruguay vs England kick off at the Arena de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo.

Ship Inn

The World Cup hasn’t sailed by the Ship Inn! The pub is showing some of the games live including England’s final Group D fixture against Costa Rica, which could turn out to be a decider for who will make it through to the final 16 of the tournament. Hopefully for England, the game on Friday 20th against Uruguay will see the Three Lions pick up three points so there will be less pressure for the final group game.

At BBM we couldn’t turn down great offers like $10 pizzas or cocktails and really, neither should you! If these sound like something that would get your stomach rumbling or your mouth watering then drop everything and rush to the Ship Inn.

Monday’s and Tuesday’s lunch time special is where it’s at for delicious $10 pizzas or you can take yourself and friends over to the bar for after work drinks on Wednesday. Get your drink on with the $10 cocktails but, remember it’s only Wednesday and you’ll have two more days until the weekend. Take it easy with the cocktails; you don’t want to be heading into that office meeting with a mean hangover. Not a good look!
