Between The Bays Announces Tim Finn joining The Hoodoo Gurus, James Reyne and Troy Cassar-Daley.

Now in its 8th year, Between Bays is firmly established as Mornington Peninsula’s best music festival on the summer calendar and rain or shine, it’s not to be missed!

With tickets going on sale on Monday, November 19th, Between The Bays Music Festival is excited to announce the addition of iconic singer/songwriter Tim Finn to the line up for the 2013 festival.

Tim Finn has been making music over a long period: across generations, beyond horizons and around the world. One of the new century’s great classicists, Finn has a formidable reputation as a singer and songwriter. His lineage goes back to the group he co-founded in New Zealand in the early 1970’s, Split Enz. Alongside that is his acclaimed solo work, as well as tenure with Crowded House. More recently, Finn returned with a new solo album, The View Is Worth The Climb released in 2011.

The addition of the elder of the legendary Finn brothers’ tops off the very special 2013 line up featuring some of Australia’s biggest and most talented names in music over the years, with Tim and band performing tracks from Split Enz, Crowded House and his solo material, it’s guaranteed to be a very special evening.

Between the Bays began back in 2006, and is a much-loved day out for all to enjoy. Throughout the years, Between the Bays has offered music lovers on the Mornington Peninsula, and wider parts of Melbourne, a festival option that is safe and relaxed, providing a great range of children’s activities and an amazing selection of local gourmet food, wine and beer. And with the option of packing a gourmet picnic basket to spread out on the lawn, it’s inexpensive and has an all-inclusive community feel.

For the first time in 2013, Between the Bays will move into the ‘Twilight Zone’ with gates opening at 4pm and the festival running into the evening. As twilight is such a beautiful atmosphere at Between the Bays, it’ll be the perfect time to grab some gourmet food, wine or beer and sit back and enjoy the amazing music on offer.

Between the Bays Music Festival is held on a rural property at the end of Rickards Road in Moorooduc, Mornington Peninsula. There are 35 beautiful acres to spread out in and enjoy the day, nestled ‘Between the Bays’ and just five minutes from Mornington.
