Byron Bay Bluesfest 2016

Bluesfest, Australia’s premier contemporary Blues & Roots music festival, is set to return in March 2016 for its 27th anniversary.

What began in 1990 as a four-day indoor event, with a modest crowd of 6000, is now a festival that owns its own 120-hectare site attracting an audience of over 100,000.

Bluesfest takes place in Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, near Byron Bay, Australia from Thursday 24th until Monday 28th March 2016. It runs across multiple stages over the five-day Easter period previously presenting the biggest names in music including Bob Dylan, Hozier, Ben Harper, Paolo Nutini, Angus & Julia Stone, John Mayer, James Brown, Joss Stone, John Legend & BB King, to name a few.The latest additions to this year’s impressive line-up are Lord Huron, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, and Janiva Magness. They’ll join:

Bluesfest also provides 5 licensed bars, over 100 food and market stalls, undercover food courts, beer gardens, children’s entertainment, and camping for up to 6000 people. There will be a regular shuttle service from the festival to and from Byron Bay. In addition there are multiple options for public transport to and from the festival.
