Blur Pull Out Of Big Day Out 2014

As one of the headline acts, it will come as a disappointment to many festival goers that Britpop band Blur will no longer make an appearance at Big Day Out 2014.
An official statement from the band cites that ‘constantly shifting goalposts and challenging conditions of the organisers’ as reasons behind the decision.

Blur were a huge draw for the festival, and the only reason many fans purchased tickets in the first place. Having recently announced they weren’t doing any sideshows, this was the one chance for fans to see them live.

If you’re in this position, there is the option of a refund. The ticket policy states that if a headline act is changed people have the choice to no longer attend.

However, there will be a replacement headliner to fill the gap alongside Arcade Fire and Pearl Jam who are both still set to perform. Just who this will be hasn’t been announced yet, so stay tuned for an update.
