BoomTown Fair 2011

Fancy a trip down to Boomtown Fair? With a 10,000 capacity, Boomtown is held in a secret location 60 minutes from London, creating a town away from the town.

With 12 distinct and very different areas including 4 brand new zones, there is a plethora of new things to be discovered this year. These new additions will include showcasing the world renowned Bassline Circus as it rolls into town with a stage that hosts the likes of Foreign Beggars, Feed Me, Ms Dynamite and Toddla T and Serocee.

Leaving the suburban area behind you, you’ll find a unique blend of performer, artists, musicians, and poets in the village hall, creating a magical and chilled out environment. Moving back to citylife the Boomtown officials have given the green light to build Mayfair Avenue, a more elegant and upmarket district with a casino, a gentleman’s club, hotels, banks, and daily roller discos. Also being sanctioned is the opportunity to visit Old Town as the gates get unlocked for only four days this summer. Residents of Boomtown, for the first time ever, will be able to step into a time machine and witness how their grandparents used to party with old skool disco’s blaring out nostalgic music from the 50’s onwards.

The Town Centre will play host to the Main Stage where acts such as Gogol Bordello, Bad Manners and The Selecter will be found serenading the towns folk. The Lion’s Den (Reggae Stage) will showcasw the biggest names in reggae, dub and roots including Barrington Levy, Capleton, Tippa Irie and Gentleman’s Dub Club; The Invisible Circus, featuring high octane big ska bands and breath taking circus skills; The Devil Kicks Dancehall, a twisted cross between a nineteenth century dancehall, a fairground ghost train and deserted 1980’s train station. And if you’re brave enough to venture into the seedy underworld of Downtown of this otherwise reputable city, you’re sure to find more than you bargained for.

Full weekend camping ticket is only £93 and includes; 4 days and nights of unadulterated fun spread out over 22 inventive stages and areas in a perfect setting!
