BoomTown festival announces first acts for 2014
The BoomTown Fair is one of the most exciting events on the UK summer festival circuit. Described as a “pop-up city where the impossible is possible and the abnormal is normal”, the ever-popular BoomTown has just announced its first acts for 2014.
Sticking to their Reggae roots, the festival has confirmed that massive legend, Jimmy Cliff will be headlining alongside Reggae gods, The Wailers. Other headliners include Raggasonic and Australian Ska group, The Cat Empire, who are performing a UK festival exclusive after a seven year hiatus.
Keen to span more genres, BoomTown has introduced a new stage for 2014, which will celebrate Folk and World music. This coincides with line-up announcements of Grammy award winning Mali musicians Tinariwen and eight-time winners at the BBC Folk awards Bellowhead.
With acts from all over the world and a multitude of stages showcasing the best of Reggae, Dub, Folk and everything in between, BoomTown looks set to be one of the best festivals of the summer.
