Brous to Tour With Patrick Wolf.
It has been revealed today that ethereal songstress Sophia Brous will be joining Patrick Wolf for his tour, to play four dates across Australia in September .
Based in Melbourne, Brous (pronounced ‘Bruce’) has gained huge support from the industry and public alike. She first popped up on the radar with the wonderfully psychedelic track ‘Streamers’. From the first few notes, it is apparent that the talented performer is inspired by the Europop of yesteryear. Brous’ music would be equally suited in a smoky 1960s lounge as it would be on any stage today.
Enchanting to the ears, her voice rivals those of Felicty Groom and Kimbra, and
as a result makes the perfect accompaniment to Wolf’s own brand of lush avant-garde pop. This run of shows will showcase two incredibly gifted singer-songwriters doing what they do best.
These performances will see Wolf taking the stage playing grand piano, Celtic harp, dulcimer and more, he will be accompanied by one other musician on stage.
Those lucky enough to attend one of these shows will be treated to a set list unique from any other on the tour. Wolf will be performing a variety of songs from the five studio albums he has released over his impressive ten year career, including ‘The City’ and ‘Time of My Life’.
Don’t miss the chance to see both Brous and Patrick Wolf’s songs come alive when they tour together this September. Check out Whats On Sydney and Whats On Melbourne for dates and venues.
