Sydney’s Best BYO Restaurants
When you’re heading out for some grub with mates, the worst thing you can do is to let the price of the booze dissuade you from your favourite restaurant. This is why BYO (Bring Your Own) restaurants are the best thing since sliced bread. Sydney has some of the best BYO restaurants… here are some of our favourite eats, so check them out for yourself.
Vamp Bistro
Vamps Bistro in the heart of Paddington, this bistro screams class and quality from the minute you enter. For $52, inclusive of GST and corkage, you can devour the most delicious three-course meal from the fixed menu. Or choose whatever you want from the extensive bistro menu. The two owners have been here since day one and make you feel like part of the family as soon as you arrive. When you walk into the Victorian terrace, the aromas of French cuisine meets Australia and Asia is a clear favourite for all BYO tastes.

Japanese cuisine at its finest. The ambience in this place is overwhelming and the menu is perfect for that first date or that big birthday bash. With corkage at only $3 per person, and opening hours covering both lunch and dinner dates, this BYO is a top for Sydney-siders. The presentation of the food here is exquisite and the staff just can’t seem to do enough for you. It is one of Sydney’s bests BYO restaurants and a great little secret waiting to be discovered. Le Lerd Thai Restaurant
This place is no secret. Nor is it shy when it comes to spice. Sometimes you just fancy a good traditional Thai meal that isn’t going to break the bank, add a couple of Tiger beers or the usual Thai Chang, and ta-da, a bang tidy evening with your mates and a good plate of grub. The curries here are full of flavour, if you like it really hot remember to tell the staff you like it ‘thai-spicy.’ Go BYO crazy at one of the best Thai restaurants in Sydney.
