CHIC Featuring Nile Rodgers Australia Tour With Todd Terry

Dance and Disco fans, listen up! Legendary supergroup CHIC will be heading to Australian shores in December for a very special tour, featuring the talent and skills of guitarist and producer Nile Rodgers.

Possibly the greatest Disco band ever, CHIC will be touring the cities of Australia for a six-date tour, playing classic tracks ‘Le Freak’, ‘Everybody Dance’ and ‘Good Times’. All ticket-holders will also have the privilege of watching Todd Terry, a Grammy Award-nominated DJ/producer from Brooklyn, and his vision of House and Techno.

Known for breaking the boundaries of Disco music in the ’70s and ’80s, Grammy Award-winning CHIC stripped back the popular genre to create smooth and funky sounds that influenced the birth of Pop, Urban and Hip-Hop. Accompanied by the style of Nile Rodgers, with his scratchy guitar and enviable bass lines, they became huge names in the music industry.

As a result of their musical talents, these two acts have worked with artists such as Madonna (‘Like A Virgin’), David Bowie (‘Let’s Dance’) and Daft Punk (‘Random Access Memories’), and have been cited as an influence by Blondie, Queen and Johnny Marr.
