The one, the only, the legend. What the resident’s of Sydney would do without the reliable dance haven of Chinese Laundry is a chilling and downright scary thought, one that needn’t be dwelled on for too long! They’ve got some cracking nights with huge line-ups coming your way this October, so we’ve put them all in a nice little easy list to make sure you don’t miss out.

Friday 5th October – Jacques Lu Cont

The legend Jacques Lu Cont is at Chinese Laundry this Friday night in his only Sydney sideshow. A highlight of Parklife Festival, he is playing a 2 hour set in the Laundry you know this will be one of the best parties of all time !

Plus we will also be launching in the Cave a new monthly called “Trapped in the Cave” which will be a night dedicated to Trap.

Saturday 6th October – Stereosonic Launch Party – Jon Convex

This Saturday Chinese Laundry team up with Stereosonic festival to launch their festival by bringing you a killer line up headed up by Jon Convex in the Cave

A man who wears many hats – Damon Kirkham aka Jon Convex, on is one half of the duo Instra:mental with Boddika, Is the head of Nonplus Records, and also Convex Industries, creator (alongside dBridge and Boddika) of the Autonomic Podcast series.

Jon Convex has a most unique ability to continually re-shape sounds, time and time again. Gripped by music from a young age, he first began producing when he was 17, completely intrigued by analogue machines. Many years and many metamorphoses later, his passion and talents are demonstrated through his successes as 1/2 of Instra:mental (with Al Green, aka Boddika), whose body of work as a production duo and label A&R’s is truly beyond conventional description.

Friday 12th October – Bass Xplosion CD Tour ft A-Tonez & The Mane Thing

Set your speakers to Explode! Chinese Laundry Bass Mafia & OneLove Recordings are coming together to launch The Bass Xplosion 2012 featuring A-Tonez & The Mane Thing for one night on the 12th October, a must to check out if you love Electro House, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Trap & Moombahton.

Bass Xplosion is the newest compilation series from the Onelove Recordings team, the explosive first edition in the series being mixed by some serious hometown heroes!

Chinese Laundry resident DJ A-Tonez, plus Bass Mafia regulars The Mane Thing – have hand selected and spun and smashed together over 43 of the biggest of bass rumbling EDM tunes on the planet.

Saturday 13th October – Rudimental & Tommy Four Seven

Another bumper line up, with the UK’s hottest artist of the moment Rudimental headlining the Laundry, PLUS Techno wiz Tommy Four Seven (aka T47) in the Cave.

Being Rudimental’s first ever Sydney show there is a huge buzz – definitely a lot of people “feeling the Love” ! Please note this event will be Doorsales Only so head down early , doors open at 9pm.

Friday 19th October – Bass Mafia Presents Downlink!
Prepare for Chinese Laundry Bass Mafia to present one of the most eagerly anticipated guest headliners yet – Downlink!!

Canadian Dubstep producer Downlink has been punishing dancefloors all over the planet since 2010 with his especially heavy brand of bass. With roots in Jungle & DnB, he is no stranger to the vile side of subsonic dance music, and has set out to explore a frantic, adrenaline fuelled style, influenced by everything from heavy metal to astrophysics. Signed to the massive ‘Rottun Recordings’ imprint alongside the likes of Datsik & Excision, Downlink has also released on some of the biggest labels in the game, including Mau5trap and OWSLA.
Dubstep, drumstep, dnb, breaks, glitch hop, trap – it’s all fair game.

Saturday 20th October – Chinese Laundry host Funk D’Void and PQM, for the official launch of Balance 022, the latest offering from the outstanding Balance mix Series, mixed by Funk D Void.

Lars Sandberg AKA Funk D’Void, is a DJ and producer who has been involved in the global electronic music scene since the mid-90s. He started Djing at around the tender age of 15, running two under-18 clubs himself – a perfect start to his career. With his mother being a professional pianist, Lars knew his vocation from an early age, and never had any doubt his future would lie with music.

And Joining Funk D’Void in the Cave will be one of the crowd favourites PQM, favoured among the likes of Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Hernan Cattaneo and Danny Tenaglia, this New York native, (just call him “Quick”) has been influencing the world’s underground music scene for over a decade.For a record to attain anthem status with DJ’s around the world is no small feat, but he accomplished just that with his independent house music interpretation, of the Led Zeppelin rock classic “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”. It was his ageless classic “The Flying Song” (Ibiza anthem of 2001) that became one of the most licensed dance tracks of all time!

In the Laundry there is a bumper line up as well, headlined by the trio of Jeff Drake (The Only) , Vengenance & A-Tonez
