City Sound Project Raises To New Levels
City Sound Project hits Canterbury
City Sound Project certainly took Canterbury by storm last weekend, with an immense line-up, creative and unique venues and some good quality music from genres including house to indie-rock and grime.
Highlights included Mystery Jets, Redlight and Riton, who pumped up the crowd and clearly enjoyed performing to fans. Lighting, sound and stage set-up was on point, and the outdoor terrace venues including The Pound offered a chance to soak up the sun rays whilst enjoying a refreshing glass of Pimms.
City Sound project clearly outdid themselves this year, with the enchanting Secret Garden being the favourite hub for many festival goers. The sun was out, smiles were beaming and the atmosphere was electric, helped by the vintage cider and Pork & Co trucks on site.
Westgate hall held the headline acts, with smaller venues including The Chapel, Ballroom, The Cuban and Steinbeck and Shaw providing a more intimate session. City Sound Project certainly put Canterbury on the map for holding such a successful bespoke festival, hopefully encouraging more names to hit the lights of Canterbury.
