Cold Chisel at Hanging Rock
Cold Chisel are set to make history as the first Australian band to headline Hanging Rock.
Adelaide’s Cold Chisel are one of Australia’s favourite rock acts, spawning a string of hits including Cheap Wine, Saturday Night and Khe Sanh, across a staggering four decades. Last month also saw the veteran rockers return with their new release The Perfect Crime. Selling over 7 million records – many of which gaining gold and platinum status – their colourful, volatile and proud story and much loved music continues to be ingrained in the hearts of generations of Australians.
As part of their One Night Stand Tour throughout November and December, the pioneering band will play an epic show at the iconic Hanging Rock on Saturday 21st November. The concert will see the rockers join the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen, Rod Stewart and the Eagles to have headlined this illustrious venue.
“It’s great to be the first Australian band to headline at Hanging Rock,” said the band’s piano player and chief songwriter Don Walker. “It’s a location with incredible history and mystery. I hope we can add something to that, and I hope no-one goes missing.”
Joining Cold Chisel for this one night only show will be a huge line up of Aussie rock talent with The Living End, Mark Seymour & The Undertow and Stonefield all confirmed to be also performing on the day.
“We can’t wait to play Hanging Rock,” said frontman Jimmy Barnes. “And with such a great collection of Victorian artists –The Living End, Mark Seymour & The Undertow and Stonefield – playing with us, it certainly won’t be a picnic.”
Don’t miss your chance to catch this stellar Aussie rock line up at one of Victoria’s most beautiful open spaces.
