Rising stars Jagwar Ma will headline their first national tour this April. The band have capitalised on the buzz of their debut single – 2011’s ‘Come and Save Me’ – by delivering a killer follow-up, ‘The Throw’. That track, with its psychadelic-techno leanings, has made some serious waves around the globe with the band featuring prominently on best new band lists and getting huge radio play. Performing as a three-piece, Jagwar Ma have established themselves as one of the most exciting new live propositions, with stand-out shows on the recent Big Day Out run and a sweaty, sold-out club show at Sydney’s GoodGod in January. The band were handpicked by The xx to support them on their national tour in early April and are currently on tour with Foals in Europe. Jagwar Ma are now based in the UK so don’t miss what will surely be one of the most talked about tours of the year when they stop by Ding Dong Lounge on Thursday 25th April. Tickets $15 or $10 on the door.
It’s been a busy 18 months for RÜFÜS. Sold out tours in Australia. Playing packed out parties in NYC, in front of band members from LCD Soundsystem, as well as regular re-mix releases. High rotation singles, main stage festival appearances and many hours locked in their home studio/dungeon, writing their debut album, featuring all new material, which will see a release in June 2013. Now with a new single Take Me’, they are hitting the road to play shows including Ding Dong in Melbourne on Friday 19th April, tickets $17 or $20 on the door.
