Daft Punk To Premiere Album In Australian Town
French duo Daft Punk have never been ones to follow the conventional route and the latest development in the hullabaloo surrounding their forthcoming album ‘Random Access Memories’ appears to be following the same tradition.
It has been reported that the eccentric Dance pair will debut their latest album ‘Random Access Memories’ in Australian town Wee Waa, New South Wales which has a population of just 2000.
The global launch of the anticipated album is to take place on May 17th in Wee Waa, with only 4000 tickets being issued for the bizarre event.
Mayor of the Shire Council, Conrad Bolton stated, “We think Wee Waa is so uniquely Australian, so the folks at Sony Music along with Daft Punk thought it fitted the bill perfectly” but he originally believed that a “mate was pulling my leg” when he first received the call.
There is no confirmation of Daft Punk actually attending and performing at the event but the lucky 4000 will experience a play back of the album before the rest of the world in the quaint town of Wee Waa and that certainly doesn’t happen every day. We’re gathering they chose Wee Waa as it makes a sound that you can often find present in their music.
