Date Night WE’D totally pay to see Fey and Carell read the phonebook, that is how talented the two are (and how good their chemistry is).
They are both able to embrace the ridiculously over-the-top plot of Date Night, and turn it into a quality film with a fun mix of action and comedy. Place two other leads in the role and you wouldn’t be reading such a positive review right now.
In supporting roles, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Mila Kunis and Leighton Meester all bring the comedy in small yet memorable parts.
When you have Carell and Fey at the helm, it doesn’t need to be an overly complex or spectacular ship as they provide a consistantly fun, engaging and silly film – because they’re just that damn good.
