David Guetta Launches ‘Play Hard’ Design Competition

‘Nothing But The Beat’ is David Guetta’s recent multi-platinum selling album. To mark the release of the final single from this album, he is inviting artists from all over the globe to design a pair of Botas picudas mexicanas (aka. Mexican pointy boots).

Using the template provided, he asks them to take inspiration from the video of the track ‘Play Hard’.

In the video for the new single, which features Ne-Yo and Akon, Guetta features pointy-toed cowboys in Mexico.

The boots are said to have originated in Matehuala and are becoming the preferred footwear for the all-male troupes that dance to tribal music.

Guetta will join the judging panel in selecting the winner’s boots, which must be inspired by his video and lyrics.
