5 Local Acts You Can’t Miss At Days Like This
Days Like This Festival is at the forefront of Sydney’s one-day festival scene. Taking place on Saturday the 9th of March, Days Like This is a unique soiree that in recent years asserted its revered standing through incredible bookings such as The Black Madonna, Marcel Dettmann and Fatima Yamaha. This year’s lineup is doing little to curb punters predictions that 2019 might just be the best lineup yet.
Amongst the list of huge international names that will be headlining Days Like This Festival, there are a few Aussies that are not only putting our nation on the map for their homegrown talents, but are doing us seriously proud. Whether they’re still based down-under dominating the music scene, or they’ve fled the nest ready to conquer other continents, we’re simple stoked that we’re being represented. Here are 5 local acts that you can’t miss at Days Like This.

CC:DISCO!
Dubbed the queen of Melbourne’s dance music scene, CC:DISCO! is a name not only on the lips of those who’ve witnessed her at local festivals Strawberry Fields and Pitch Music and Arts, but partygoers across the globe. With a new record label under her wing – CC:Editions – and having shared the stage in 2018 with artists such as Denis Sulta and Horse Meat Disco, she’s one to watch at Days Like This, and will most likely take the cake for your afternoons peak. Unfortunately for Melbourne folk, she’s about to move to the belly of the beast – Europe – so let’s give her a proper send off.

Kali
Arguably one the lesser-known names on this lineup, Kali is not to be underestimated – she’s a name you’ll want to know. A veteran in Sydney’s music scene, Kali has played for Boiler Room, runs a radio show on FBI Radio alongside running Picnic Touring & Events, one of Sydney’s premier electronic music agents. Oh, and she’s a shoe-in to deliver a good time, so make sure you check her out…

Made In Paris
Sydney-based Made in Paris may just take the cake for local rising star. Having warmed the stage for artists such as Stephan Bodzin, and Marcel Dettman at smalltown in 2018. She seems to be continuing on an upward trajectory with her forward thinking, cutting edge techno productions. If something a bit heavier is more to your palate, she might just be the one for you…

Mall Grab
Australia’s poster-child claim to fame, Mall Grab, will be returning to Australia, sure to be a peak set of Days Like This 2019. Winning the world over with his lo-fi house productions and his ability to keep the dance-floor going, Mall Grab is undoubtedly Australia’s pride and joy. His upcoming Days Like This set is sure to go absolutely bonkers due to the whole home ground advantage situation… so definitely one you wont want to miss.

Willaris K
On the softer dance/electronic side of the Days Like This lineup, Willaris K seems to be entirely in a league of his own. This Aussie grown artist has become a household name in Australia’s diverse music scene, getting regular plays on Triple J as well as having played international stages such as Coachella. Having just released a brand new album ‘Alchemy’ you’re sure to hear some new material and some old at his Days Like This set in 2019.
