Delta Heavy Returns to Oz and NZ
Drum n bass darlings Delta Heavy has announced their Australian and New Zealand return this coming January.
Even though they bring a harder, heavier and darker sound to the table, Delta Heavy are regularly name checked as the most exciting thing to happen in drum n bass since Chase & Status and Nero. Their debut LP ‘Paradise Lost’ (released on Andy C’s iconic label RAM Records earlier this year) shot straight into the UK Top 10 electronic charts, and in October the duo recorded their first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix (a rite of passage for any respected DJ). In the past three months alone Delta Heavy released three killer tracks, ‘Punish My Love VIP’, ‘Kill Room’ and ‘Bar Fight‘ – all raucous, heavy tracks that signify everything we love about drum n bass. It is safe to say that after a highly successful 2016 their return to Australasia is a very anticipated one.
Delta Heavy begin their tour in New Zealand to play the Fat Angel in Wellington on 18th January, then World Bar in Queenstown on 19th January, Empire in Christchurch on 20th January and Neck of the Woods in Auckland on 21st January. They then head to Australia to play The Met in Brisbane on 25th January, HQ Complex in Adelaide on 26th January, Chinese Laundry in Sydney on 27th January before finishing at Hidden Festival in Perth on 28th January.
