Discover an International Circus Sensation at London’s South Bank
Casus have taken over the big purple tent at the South Bank’s Underbelly to bring their new show Driftwood to the heart of London.
Renowned for showcasing some incredible acrobatic skills with grace and poise, the circus act will be performing their jaw-dropping show throughout May and early June.
Hailing from Australia, the company, which found their fame at Edinburgh Fringe last year, has carefully choreographed an hour-long routine which includes elegant dances and staggering circus tricks. Made of just five performers, the routine seeks to tell the story of the cycle of life and how we are shaped by the humans we encounter. With its colourful plot and meaning to the retain, this is more than your average circus performance.
The Underbelly provides a great venue for the circus show, as the home of the city’s biggest summer festival with some vibrant bars, pop up food trucks offering tasty delicacies from across the world, and a stage that will play host to some great names over the summer months. Included on this year’s bill are the likes of comedians Al Murray, Sara Pascoe and Stephen K Amos. This year, the line-up has also expanded to feature cabaret acts, burlesque and circus shows from circus companies Casus and Flip FabriQue.
