This packed 13-night tour of Java and Bali begins with an overnight flight from Heathrow to Yogyakarta via Singapore, where accommodation is provided in the four-star Royal Ambarukmo Hotel. In Yogyakarta, explore the ninth century Hindu Prambanan Temple complex. Visitors will also see the Buddhist Candi Plaosan and Candi Sewu temples.

Day three begins with a visit to the Sultan Palace, a batik factory and Kota Gede, and finishes with the impressive VJV Special Event of a private dinner at the house of Prince Dalem Kaneman, followed by a Ramayana ballet performance.

The following day, travellers see the Menoreh Mountain views from the Borobudur Temple and explore the traditional Japanese village of Candirejo by horse-drawn carriage.

On day five, travel by train to Surabaya and then on road to Malang for a stay in the four-star Santika Premiere Malang Hotel. The Malang sightseeing begins the following day and includes the old Dutch Town Hall and Coban Waterfall. Continue to Tosari Village near Mount Bromo with overnight accomodation in the two-star Bromo Cottages.

Departing early in the morning, visitors travel by jeep to view the sunrise from Mount Penankajan, weather permitting, as well as the volcano range of Bromo, Batok and Semeru. From here, travel three hours to catch a flight, where the adventure in Bali begins.

In Ubud, visitors stay four nights at the four-star Rama Phala or Kori Ubud. Day eight includes a visit to Mas Village and the Elephant Cave of Goa Gajah. Activities also feature trips to Gunung Kwai, Tirta Temple, and Neka Art Museum in the afternoon.

On day nine, visit Kintamani Mountain Resort and Besakih Temple. On day 10 experience ordinary life in Bali, with a visit to Tunjuk Village, a Balinese compound, a school and a communal rice farm.

For the last day of sightseeing, visit the seventeenth century Taman Ayun Temple, with its courtyards, garden terraces and moat. Finally, see the Tanah Lot Temple and spend the last two days of free time at the four-star Ayodya Resort on the Indian Ocean, before returning to Heathrow via Singapore. Or if you choose, extend by three days for £195GBP per person to enjoy the hotel’s bar, pool, restaurants and spa.
